Medical Therapy Treatments

Updated: Jun 29, 2019

IHR owns and operates a specialised medical centre offering a vast choice of ground breaking treatments for common ailments in a more natural and less invasive manner.

Italians have always believed that a more natural approach to health yields far better results than taking medications. Healthy eating, a healthy lifestyle and a combination of alternative medical therapies can help increase your quality and longevity of life. Italy has one of the lowest natural death rates and one of the highest longevity rates in the world; with areas seeing the majority of citizens living to near or over 100 years old !!! It is also a fact that richer people such as well known actors, heads of state, royal families, and successful business people use alternative therapies to help increased their longevity. Why not benefit from these technologies for yourself ?

Here are our offerings of targeted therapies:

Ozone therapy: a medical treatment that uses the therapeutic properties of the oxygen / ozone mixture and allows to obtain good results for our well-being and for our health. Ozone therapy is a medical method, now consolidated by years of clinical-scientific experience and widely used. There is a vast international scientific literature indexed on biomedical databases (Pubmed) which describes the uses and possible results. As early as 1896 Nikola Tesla patented his first ozone generator and this technology was the basis for the creation of modern ozone therapy devices.

Photobiology: the science that studies the interactions between light and living matter and this explains many of the photochemical reactions commonly occurring before our eyes. For example, plants using chlorophyll, which absorb light, perform photosynthesis that produces carbohydrates and oxygen. Phototherapy LED, heals yourself with light. Even human beings interact with light and these interactions generate photochemical reactions in our body. For example, the cholesterol present on our skin is converted into Vitamin D thanks to sunlight and this results in a beneficial effect on cholesterol levels in the blood. A further example comes from the bilirubin responsible for neonatal jaundice which is treated with special blue-light LED lamps in hospitals. Blue light is able to modify some properties of bilirubin and transforms it from a fat-soluble substance into a water-soluble one and in this way the newborn succeeds in eliminating the excess of bilirubin in the urine. LED phototherapy has been applied for many years now also for the treatment of arthritic and arthritic diseases. Important and excellent clinical results, well documented by numerous scientific publications, have demonstrated their validity and therapeutic efficacy in dermatological lesions, pain therapy, rehabilitation and aesthetic medicine.

Vitamin C drip, also known as ascorbic acid: an essential nutrient that however cannot be synthesized by the human body and must be introduced either from the diet or from supplements. It is a water-soluble vitamin necessary for the body to synthesize collagen - able to strengthen bones, cartilage, muscles and blood vessels - necessary for the proper functioning of the immune system and to promote iron absorption.Vitamin C has many benefits and is known for its ability to act as an antioxidant agent, thus able to remove free radicals, reducing the damage caused at the genome level. Furthermore, the use of vitamin C was also adopted in the oncological field, finding among its most significant supporters the Nobel prize Linus Pauling and his colleague Ewan Cameron. Intravenous Vitamin C has been used for many years in the United States of America, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Infusion therapy: Alpha lipoic acid is a fatty acid found naturally in every cell of the human body, it is produced directly by the body but it is also present in some foods of animal origin (especially in the liver and heart) and of vegetable origin (broccoli and spinach). It is a powerful antioxidant and is involved in the transformation of glucose into useful energy, playing an important role in increasing the efficiency of insulin and in transporting glucose into the cell. Alpha lipoic acid is also responsible for increasing the availability of glutathione, the most important intracellular and regenerative antioxidant of vitamins C and E starting from their oxidized formulas.

Pain management: Pain is a problem that can sometimes make people's lives dramatic, so that they are physically and psychologically disabled. Pain if not treated properly can heavily affect people's quality of life. In Italy, pain therapy is unfortunately little used. As a rule, there is a tendency to still resort to inappropriate therapies or to prolonged intake of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), which in the long run can lead to serious side effects. Chronic, long-lasting pain is often caused by diseases that are difficult to treat. Pain therapy or analgesic therapy aims to reduce pain and this can be achieved through multiple therapeutic approaches such as drugs, herbal products, infiltration, use of electricity, ozone therapy and laser or LED therapy.

Hypertension therapy: Those suffering from hypertension often do not feel any symptoms; for this very reason many call this disorder "the silent killer". In the western world, one person in three is hypertensive and in Italy alone, 280 000 hypertensives die each year. As you will have understood hypertension is a widespread problem and pharmacological treatments, although effective in lowering blood pressure, can increase the risk of having a stroke by 248% compared to that of a person who is not hypertensive! We offer a safer alternative the medications to help lower high blood pressure.

Diabetes treatments : A combination of the above mentioned treatments can be tailored to help diabetics increase insulin sensitivity, improve micro circulation and reduce the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy

Ask us about our tailored medical therapies applicable to you. Kindly note, we suggest you contact your GP to advise them of your upcoming treatments in Italy before you book your package.
